About Haiti and its flag
Haiti’s national flag is a blue-over-red horizontal bicolour with the arms of the republic on a white central panel. Flag design and meaning
Two equal horizontal bands make the field: blue at the top and red below. At the centre is a white square carrying the republican arms: a palm tree topped by a liberty cap, shading a trophy of arms, with the inscription “L’Union fait la Force.” The arms are an integral identifying feature of the national flag.
