About Gabon and its flag
Gabon’s national flag is a three-colour horizontal tricolour: green, yellow and blue. Article 1 of the Constitution of 19 December 2024 names it the national emblem and requires three equal horizontal bands. The official order places green at the top, yellow in the centre and blue at the bottom.
Flag design and meaning
The flag has no charge, shield, star or lettering. It consists of three full-width horizontal bands of equal height: green at the top, yellow across the middle and blue at the bottom. The 2024 Constitution lists the colours in that order and specifies equal dimensions.
